General Operating Instructions for the Veinlite EMS PRO®

Its operation is as simple as placing the device against the patient’s skin with the LED window in direct contact. The device should be placed perpendicular to the expected vein direction. The device uses a single button for control to improve simplicity and reliability. One press turns the unit and the vein finder on. A second press activates the white light for surface illumination in dark environments. A third press deactivates the lights and turns the unit off.

The entire process can be broken down into five simple steps.

1. Turn on the Veinlite EMS PRO® and place it against the skin, aligned to the vein direction. Move it lengthways on the skin to identify veins. They will be visible as dark lines.
2. When a vein for injection, IV placement, or blood draw is located, the device should be turned 90° so it is parallel with the vein.
3. Apply pressure to the device.
4. Gently push back on the device to stretch the skin and ensure a good point of entry.
5. Insert a sterilized needle through the circular opening of the device. The plastic disposable cover can be discarded after the appropriate treatment is complete.
