PomPac™ Cooled PRF Tube Holder
PomPac™ Cooled PRF Tube Holder
The PomPac™ is used to cool PRF tubes after they are filled with blood. The purpose of this devise is two fold; to increase the size of PRF clots, as well as increase the volume of plasma created. Simply store your PRF tubes in the PomPac™ before and after the blood is drawn. As soon as all of your blood has been collected, remove them from the PomPac™ and place them into the centrifuge.
Principle
After years of research, Dr. Chukroun has made an important discovery. Indeed, the temperature of the blood plays a significant role on coagulation. When drawn and kept at a lower temperature, coagulation is delayed and fibrinogen is not consumed during the blood drawing process. This results in more optiumal working times and much larger yeilds from each tube.
Protocol
- The tubes, butterflies, PomCol™, and PomPac™ are all stored in the refrigerator.
- Take the tubes out of the refigerator and place them into the PomPac to keep them 39.2⁰F
- Apply the PomCol™ around the butterfly once the needle is placed in the patient
- Grab a tube from the PomPac™, fill it, and then return it to the PomPac™ once filled
- After all the tubes are filled, retrieve the tubes from the PomPac™ and put them into the centrifuge
- After the tubes are spun, you can tread them as you would normally
- If you would like to keep the tubes in the liquid state, keep them in the PomPac™ until use
Results
A-PRF - Clots will be much larger (+50% aprrox)
S-PRF & I-PRF - the ammount of PRF liquid is much greater (+20-50% approx), tubes will remain in the liquid state for longer
