Bone Tack Master Kit

This kit is used for the fixation of membranes, mesh, and dental dressings. Tacks are available in both short (3.5mm) and long (4.5mm). The heads of the tacks are 2.5mm in diameter. The tacks are made of pure titanium and are color coded for easy identification. The tacks are resistant to bending and can usually be applied by simply pressing them into bone using the tack handle provided.

TBM-2 Package - Kit contains: tack organizer, tack applicator, and 21 tacks of your choice ( 3.5 or 4.5mm tacks)

TBM-3 Package - Kit contains: tack organizer, tack applicator, (40) 3.5mm Tacks & (40) 4.5mm tacks

* In Instances of extremly hard cortical bone, a 1.0mm pilot drill is useful for tack insertion. In most instances you can simply press the tack into bone using the applicator. 

* Note this product does not include the mallet below, but can be added to the kit using the selection tool below

Instructions
1. Remove the tip cover on the tack handle
2. Press the tip of the tack applicator on the head of a tack to engage the two pieces
3. Press the tip of the tack into bone, if met with resistance, use a mallet to tap the tacks into the bone.
4. After surgery, the tacks can be removed using a pair of root forceps.
